5th Caribaea Initiative Research & Conservation Conference (CANCELLED)

mar. 01 oct. 2019

ANNOUNCEMENT // We regret to announce the cancellation of the 5th Caribaea Initiative Research & Conservation Conference in Barbados scheduled for June 01 – 03, 2020 due to the coronavirus. We know that this is both disappointing and challenging from a planning perspective, but likely the best move given the current circumstances. Hoping to see you for our next edition of the Caribaea Initiative Research & Conservation Conference that will be held in June 2021 in Havana, Cuba.

About the 2020 Conference

When? June 01 – 03, 2020

Where? Barbados (West Indies)

The conference is intended to be a forum for discussing research on animal biodiversity and wildlife management in the insular Caribbean region. It represents a unique opportunity to bring together researchers and conservationists from various horizons. The program will include plenary talks by invited speakers, and oral and poster presentations organized in thematic and general sessions on the study and conservation of the Caribbean fauna.

This fifth edition is co-organized with the University of the West Indies (Cave Hill Campus).

TENTATIVE PROGRAM

The Conference will run from June 01st to 03rd, 2020.

Sponsorship opportunities

The Caribaea Initiative Research & Conservation Conference would not be possible without the support of our sponsors. A large portion of the conference costs are paid from sponsorships so that we can keep registration fees affordable and provide free registration to students and scholars form low-income countries.

Many sponsorship opportunities come with additional exclusive benefits and recognition opportunities, some of which are listed below. For more details on how sponsors will be recognized contact us at contact(at)caribaea.org.
