3rd Caribaea Initiative Research & Conservation Workshopmar. 16 janv. 2018
We are pleased to announce the 3rd Caribaea Initiative Research & Conservation Workshop, co-organized with the Université des Antilles (UA). The workshop will be held from May 28 to June 01, 2018 in Guadeloupe at La Creole Beach Hotel.
The workshop will consist of general sessions on the study and conservation of Caribbean fauna and will include two mini-symposia:
“Genetic diversity and differentiation patterns in the Caribbean fauna”
“Potential effects of climate change on Caribbean biodiversity and ecosystems”
Our plenary speakers for this year are:
Dr. Ali Belmadani, Météo France – Interregional Directorate Antilles-Guyana, Martinique
Dr. Delano S. Lewis, the Northern Caribbean University, Jamaica
Prof. Anne Magurran, the University of St Andrews, U.K.
Dr. Carrie Manfrino, the Central Caribbean Marine Institute, Grand Cayman
CALL FOR SPEAKERS
Anyone interested to contribute an oral presentation dealing with the biology and/or conservation of the Caribbean fauna is very welcomed. The format for the oral contributions is 25 min, plus a 5 min discussion.
Abstracts should be submitted by email (contact(at)caribaea.org) no later than April 30th 2018.
An example is included to refer to how preparing your abstract in the ABSTRACT GUIDELINES.

The workshop is limited to 80 participants. Please register early to help us plan a great workshop.
